Cyber insurance can provide coverage for a broad range of losses resulting from a data breach. However, issues such as the lack of uniformity in coverages and exclusions – as well as uncertainty around how cyber insurance dovetails with other types of insurance policies to mitigate risk and losses – create challenges for businesses.
